making money

Well, some people really know how to do it. While Eliot Spitzer has just resigned, the Call Girl involved is getting remarkable offers from famous magazines such as “Penthouse”. She’s not to blame, she could save her body from now on and offer its pure view. If she wants to. Experts predict she’ll write a book and sell the film rights, angelina jolie might be to old now to starr in it. We might find another, a newer and fresher goddess.
It’s a world of its own. Not only that it took longer than 24 hours for Mr. Spitzer to resign ( The hottest question in his office must have been: Is there a way to keep the power?) . The moral issues are left far behind only a few days later, what we talk about is the movies and books that will emerge from these events. After all, it’s the public who wants the true story, it’s us who will be watching the movies that help gaining more and more money out of this event. It seems to be out of fashion to ask moral questions. We are all so worldly-wise that nothing can shock us. Didn’t we know before? Isn’t it common knowledge that our politicians are involved in “dirty stuff”? That’s why Spitzer could take some time asking the question about whether to resign or not, because, if we are honest, this dirt is no news to us. It is just common knowledge gone public. In a way this shows the sullenness democratic countries evoke in its citizens. The extent doesn’t seem as extreme as in other countries, after all, he did feel a pressure and resigned. But the fact that there was space left to think about it shows how much of a corrupt society democratic countries can turn into and how its citizens know it, feel it and quarrel about the fact whether it is worth the fuzz to stirr it all up now.
